LPIH FAQ:
Q: What wheels should I use on the surface?
- The rink is a Sport-court, so softer wheels are recommended.
Q: Can I sign up as a singular player?
- Yes, if you do not have a team, you can register as a singular player, and
the league will place you. Obviously goalie positions are limited, so
please contact league management if you need to be placed as a goalie.
Q: Is the LPIH aggressive? Is their checking or fighting?
- LPIH does not tolerate overly aggressive play within the league! All the rules & league policies are posted on the league web site, and they are followed
VERY STRICTLY. LPIH was created in order to give players the availability to play hockey, in a safe atmosphere.
Nobody is being paid to play, there are no scouts in the crowd! Play some hockey, have a good time, go home, that is what the
LPIH is about!
- There is NO checking in LPIH. Fighting is prohibited within the league, and will not be tolerated.
Fighting is disciplined on a situation to situation basis, with the guilty party either being suspended or expelled from the league.
Q: Do goalies have to wear skates?
- No, goalies can play in or out of their skates.
Q: What is the age requirement in league?
- LPIH does not have an age requirement. The league consists of mostly adults, but many
young, if they are skilled enough, play within both Friday & Sunday. The name "Adult League" is for the benefit of the younger players, so that they are made aware of the fact that they will be playing with a majority of older players, grown men & women. Hockey is the one of the few sports where age does not distinguish a players
ability to compete.
Q: Is LPIH management present at all games?
- Yes, the commissioner is present at all games, and officiates most games, if not all.
