    LPIH FAQ:
Q:  Why are Fridays a Tournament each month?
    • The league is always open to suggestions & fresh ideas.  Over the past several years, several reoccurring complaints arose, price & Friday's wasted.  Everyone wants to pay as little as possible, and many members are young adults, so Friday night is a precious social night for many.  Changing the format to a tournament each month, gave the league the ability to address both of these concerns.
    • Tournament rental, is a cheaper rental rate from the Sportsplex, then regular time, so I can pass the savings to my members.
    • Condensing the games in to 2-nights instead of 4-nights, freed up Fridays for everyone.

Q:  What is the difference between the Friday Tournament & Sunday Ball League?

    • The Friday Tournament is puck and a little more intense.
    • Friday Tournament accepts team registrations, as well as singular registrations!
    • The Sunday Ball League is a Draft/Placement league.  Players will sign up as individuals, and will be drafted or placed according to their skill level.  The Sunday Ball League restricts roster sizes, therefore, giving players more playing time!
    • The Sunday Ball league has many skilled/young players enrolled within it.

Q:  What wheels should I use on the surface?

    • The rink is a Sport-court, so softer wheels are recommended.

Q: Can I sign up as a singular player?

    • Yes, if you do not have a team, you can register as a singular player, and the league will place you.  Obviously goalie positions are limited, so please contact league management if you need to be placed as a goalie.

Q:  Is the LPIH aggressive? Is their checking or fighting?

    • LPIH does not tolerate overly aggressive play within the league!  All the rules & league policies are posted on the league web site, and they are followed VERY STRICTLY.  LPIH was created in order to give players the availability to play hockey, in a safe atmosphere.  Nobody is being paid to play, there are no scouts in the crowd!  Play some hockey, have a good time, go home, that is what the LPIH is about!
    • There is NO checking in LPIH.  Fighting is prohibited within the league, and will not be tolerated.  Fighting is disciplined on a situation to situation basis, with the guilty party either being suspended or expelled from the league.

Q:  Do goalies have to wear skates?

    • No, goalies can play in or out of their skates.

Q:  What is the age requirement in league?

    • LPIH does not have an age requirement. The league consists of mostly adults, but many young, if they are skilled enough, play within both Friday & Sunday. The name "Adult League" is for the benefit of the younger players, so that they are made aware of the fact that they will be playing with a majority of older players, grown men & women. Hockey is the one of the few sports where age does not distinguish a players ability to compete.

Q:  Is LPIH management present at all games?

    • Yes, the commissioner is present at all games, and officiates most games, if not all.
